PROJECT DETAIL
Tihange 3 - subsite of Nuclear Power Station Tihange - is located near the Meuse river in Belgium.
My first try at building in microscale was a challengeing endeavour ( approx scale 1/1000 ).
Scale of the creation was determined by the size of the nuclear reactor containment building.
The 23 degrees angle of the west wing was achieved by using the 11.5 bent Technic beam and its sliding mid section. Nice parts usage for industrial piping include a space ray gun and a bent skeleton arm. Also note the ice skates for insulators
Documentation on the Tihange 3 site was limited so had to improvise here and there.
Compared to the real site, the implantation of the high-voltage pylon has been changed for a better composition. The odd tan corner indicates the implantation of a second cooling tower.
The high-quality Tihange tile in vein of Architecture theme was kindly sponsored by Mijn Blokje which specializes in custom decoration of bricks.
